Enewe built The Curtailer from the ground up — both the control hardware and the SaaS platform around it, developed in house. When power prices go negative, a solar installation feeds the grid at a loss. The DIN-rail hardware pauses export automatically before the price drops deep negative, using day-ahead prices and weather forecasts. Operators set the rules in the web app, or hand control to grid operators and suppliers over the REST API.

Since October 2025 I have been strengthening the ESNL project office with my expertise in the business models behind energy storage. On behalf of ESNL I work with grid operators, the ministry and the regulator on improving contract terms and removing other barriers to energy storage.
